Friday Five
2) GOING HOME – In six weeks we are returning to England for good. It has been nearly eight years since we’ve lived in the UK, so it’s going to feel quite strange. I shall try not to talk of sidewalks, grocery stores and diapers, and return to pavements, supermarkets and nappies! Excited as I am to return, I shall miss America so much!
3) SNOW! – I am so over snow. Well kind of, I do love watching it fall and it makes everything look so pretty. But if you haven’t stocked up, especially on things like full fat milk AND you have a hyper active toddler it can be quite a pain. At least we kept our power though, unlike half od DC it seems, so I’m feeling grateful.
4) THE VAMPIRE ACADEMY SERIES by Richelle Mead. After Nic at Irresistible Reads reviewed the last book I thought I’d check them out. I’ve been motoring through them. They are just SO much fun and I love Rose and I love the world Richelle Mead has created, it’s amazing. Strangely for me I am smitten with the, smoking, drinking, bad boy in this series. Not that Adrian is really bad but, you know, he’s not that good either.
5) KINDLES – How happy was I to have a Kindle when I finished SHADOW KISS and couldn’t get to the library for the next book? VERY! I couldn’t wait to see what happens next.
Have a great weekend everyone, what books have you staying up past bedtime lately?
I just finished What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen. I totally couldn't put that down. So good.

You're moving back to England? That's awesome! I expect a lot of photos of beautiful English countryside and cityscapes on this blog, please 🙂 And isn't Vampire Academy so addictive? I love Adrian, too, though I have to pick Dimitri…swoon!

Lotusgirl – I can never put sarah Dessen books down, she's magic! I loved the first chapter of this.
Meredith – I will comply, well with the countryside because that's where I'll be living. Dimitri reminds me a little of Angel in that good/noble way and I was always a Spike girl 🙂
Nic – Rose really is. I'm on Blood Promise and she has just kicked ass! The Kindle is fab, I'm just wondering if it will transfer to the UK though or if I'll have to sell it
Jemi – Nope just rain!
Audrey – Yay! Another Adrian fan. It's definitely time for Spring.

I can't believe you're leaving the U.S. so soon! I'm happy for you, though.
It sounds like I need to pick up the Vampire Academy books!

Wow, good luck with the move! International moves are a huge amount of work, but I'm looking forward to hearing about what it's like to switch cultures again.
I'm also completely addicted to my Kindle. I massively underestimated how much I was going to love it–I'm getting through so many books now!

I'm staying up reading "True Colors" by Kristin Hannah. Love her! And good luck on your return to England. I'd love to visit there some day.

I get tired of snow too! Haven't read any "stay up all night" books since wintergirls in the fall. (Loved it!!)

Don't go back to England damn it! Why are you leaving?!
🙂
By the way, THANK YOU again for the lovely books you gave me! I'm reading Between Shades of Gray right now and it is fabulous!
