Yay! Congratulations Andrea. Enjoy! And if you need more more convincing to check out this book. Go visit Daisy’s blog where she has some fabulous Mockingbird videos up – sure to intrigue!
In other news Disney was magical.
I don’t mind a world where trolley buses pull up and people leap out and perform a song for you. I could do with more of it.
Also the DREAM song is everywhere (not sure if that is what it’s called but I’m sure you know it) . I think I may make it my NaNoWriMo anthem. Cheesy? Yes, but oddly inspiring too.
Magical as Disney was it was nothing compared to Harry Potter’s Wizarding World.
and mummm butterbeer.
Harry, I have missed you!
The SCBWI conference was also pretty amazing. I adored Lisa Yee‘s speech and must find some of her books. The other panel’s were fabulous too. And Emily Van Beek was there, she is Erin Bow’s agent. I think I’ve mentioned my complete love of Erin’s debut Plain Kate (read it, read it!) and through I knew the story of it’s publication it was lovely to hear form Sarah’s point of view.
The best thing I heard at the conference “Paranormal IS huge, but we’re still selling contemporary” PHEW!
Anyway, this is getting epic ! So have a fabulous weekend everyone. Those doing NaNoWriMo hope you have a good rest before the insanity begins. Myself I shall be rallying
Then watching my husband run the Marine Core Marathon.
Running 26.3 miles makes writing 50,000 words in a month look like a perfectly sensible thing to do.
As far as I'm concerned, running 2.63 miles makes writing 50K look sensible, forget 26.3!
Disney looks incredible, and Hogwarts–well, you're blogging to a community of writers, I'm sure we're all jealous!
oh em gee, harry potter world!!! SO JEALOUS, that place looks amazing. im definitely going there one day…
and good luck on your nanowrimo 🙂 perfectly sensible. yes. very. xDD
Best luck to both of you! I have a student doing an independent study with me on creative writing and she's going to try NaNoWriMo. I've done NaPoWriMo three years in a row, now.
I'll take NaNo over a marathon any day!!
Hogwarts looks incredible! Can't wait to get there one day 🙂
Amie – heehee I agree 3km is my limit and that's a sedate jog 🙂
Audrey – Yes it's wonderful. It was packed, they could have made it a whole park!
Linda – Thanks so much. Good Luck to you too.
Jemi – Me too at least you can eat chocolate and drink tea while you NaNo 🙂
I loved the butterbeer when I was there!
Ohhhhhh, I'm so jealous! I want to go to the Harry Potter theme park almost more than anything! But I'd be scared to try Butterbeer since I have a very distinct idea of what it tastes like in my head, and I don't want the deliciousness ruined!
That looks like so much fun!!! I need to visit Harry Potter world, too–looks like heaven 🙂
I think both you and Tom are AWESOME! You will totally get your book written during NaNoWriMo. I believe in you!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the SCBWI conference! And did I tell you that I read PLAIN KATE and loved it?! Amazing, mesmerizing writing. So, so good. Thanks for the recommendation! Are you going to query Emily Van Beek? The Pippin Properties website is so adorable (that's where she's at, isn't it?).
Happy Halloween tomorrow!
Daisy – it's good!
Fredamans – that's nice 🙂
Becca – Haha that's funny. I hadn't thought what it tasted like 🙂
Meredith – It was so good.
Kim – Thanks you! And happy Halloween!
