Cover Wars – CANDOR
The Book – Candor by Pam Bachorz
USA
I liked the houses on this one, it reminded me of the tv show Weeds, which I love. I wasn’t that keen on having the boys face though. Although I do like the headphones.
UK
I just LOVE this one. I would definitely pick it up in the bookstore. The cover captures the feel of the book, kind of edgy and ominous, without giving you any idea what it’s about.
I like how they have used the same colour scheme for both the UK and USA versions.
What do you think?
And come back tomorrow for my review of Candor.

I think I like the first one better… though I can take or leave the upper part of it (the guy with the headphones), I really love the houses and the color scheme. The second one doesn't seem to go with the story as well to me.

From what I've read about the book I get the US cover. However, the UK version is extremely eye-catching. I'm going with the UK one on this =)

I'd say I like the first one better. It represents the book closer in my opinion.

I'm torn on this one!! I think I'd give a slight edge to the UK one – because it make you wonder what is going on??

Hmm…UK is a bit more eye-catching. Plus, it makes me go "What is that about???"

Okay. I have never heard of the book. I couldn't decide which book was better. Iknew both covers would cause me to look further. I read the blub, and watched the preview at borders. Now I have to go with the US cover.

Without having read the book, I'd say I'd pick up the UK novel before I'd pick up the US one. But now I need to read it!

Ooo! I like both covers, but I think I like the UK one better. I think on the whole I like UK covers better. Hmmm!

Gosh, I like both of them, but I think I do like the UK cover better. It's just a little more unusual and eye-catching, I think.

I like the US one because it represents the book better while still being interesting. The second one is eye-catching, certainly, but what does it have to do with the book?
