And I'm joining in.
Originally I was going to give away my own favourite UnsungYA, Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta.
But, I have received, three unbelievable awesome books, this week. Thankyou Daisy, James and PenguinAustralia. I am a big believer in passing it on.
So I'm giving away three books by my favourite Unsung author.
If you would like to win

So far, my favorite book this year would have to be the entire Study series. I have become a Snyder's fan because of that series and will definitely read more of her works.

What a great way to give love to an unsung author!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this year so far, without a doubt, was God-Shaped Hole. If you don't mind a little bit of allusion to sex (trust me it's there) you will enjoy this book! It is all about living the best you can, and trying to fill that empty "hole" inside us with something that matters to you. It is the one book that touched me so much this year, that I still think about it even though I already finished reading it.
Thanks for the chance to win! And in case you don't have my email anymore it is

HUGS!
Great contest!
ReplyDeleteI think the best book I've read so far this year is Catching Fire - can't wait for Mocking Jay. :)
Melina Marchetta is my favorite author... EVER. And that is huge deal since I have NEVER been able to say that about just one author before. However, another author has recently caught my attention before - and has written the best book I've read so far this year: THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE by Jandy Nelson. This book took my breath away! I was glued to the pages and jumped up and down as I was reading it and ran to tell my bookworm friends about it as soon as I was finished. Read this book!

Oh gosh - How I adore Marchetta's books - they blow my mind. One book I've seriously enjoyed this year is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Some serious good writing!

Very nice contest!
ReplyDeleteI'm not entering because I own Finnikin of the Rock, and I ordered Jellicoe Road & Saving Francesca already; however, I have to say that Jellicoe Road is the best book I've read this year!
I read it back in January. It was the first time I had heard of Marchetta and read one of her novels. And I gotta say, so far, Jellicoe Road is the best book I've read in my life. There are plenty of books that I ended up loving & telling everyone I know to read, but the feeling I had after finishing Jellicoe Road went beyond that. It blew me away, and it was such an amazing feeling! :3
After reading Jellicoe Road, I read her other novels. I loved them all, and she is definitely my favorite author! Can't wait to read more from her. :)
I just read Dead-Tossed Waves and so far that is my favorite read of
ReplyDelete2010. I've been wanting to read Finnikin of the Rock for awhile so I can't wait to read your review.
The Body Finder is probably the best book I've read thus far. Not only is it by a debut author, but the concept is so original. And I love the alternate POVs. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having this contest!

My favorite to date would be Raven Stole the Moon by Garth Stein.

The best book I read this year has to be Some Girls by Courtney Summers. are. Regina's story was so raw and painful, yet I couldn't put down the book. But the best part of this book was that despite all the pain, there was much hope to be found within the pages.
ReplyDeleteG:)
Fantastic contest! I haven't read anything by Melina Marchetta, but I've heard so many raves.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite book so far this year is The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. I read an ARC of Before I Fall back in January, or it would be a tough tough call.
The best book I've read this year? That's a tough one! Probably Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. But here are some I've also loved:
ReplyDelete- Marcelo in the Real World by Francisco X. Stork
- All Unquiet Things by Anna Jarzab
- By the Time you Read This, I'll be Dead by Julie Anne Peters
Thanks for the Giveaway! :D

Best Book this year? Don't you know that answering this question as an avid book-lover is basically impossibler?! =p
ReplyDeleteUm, for me, probably The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (which I consider an unsung YA as well :o)
Amazing amazing giveaway, I love Melina Marchetta!! thanks so much!

I'm going to have to say the best book I've read so far in 2010 has been Hex Hall. I laughed like I've never laughed reading a book, other than Audrey, Wait! Sophie was a fantastic character: cute, funny, yet she could stand up for herself and hold her own. And her friendship with Jenna was so sweet. I loved everything about that book.

I hope I'm not too late to enter. This is a spectacular contest!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best books I've read this year is The Pace by Shelena Shorts. Why? (Excerpt from my review)
"In The Pace, debut author Shelena Shorts manages to take a common premise among YA literature and twist it into something much more satisfyingly original and unique."
The Pace realy did just have the whole package!

My favorite is The Dead-Tossed Waves. It was better than expected. I like that it wasn't just a continuation of the first book, but the beginning of a new story.

The best book I've read so far this year was A Mango- Shaped Space by Wendy Mass. I LOVE it!
